Visiting Research FellowsEach year the Department of English and Creative Writing offers up to ten places to scholars and postgraduates from overseas who wish to come to Lancaster for a period of time between one week and a year to study and/or write independently rather than for a degree qualification. Those selected hold the title of Visiting Research Fellow and are charged not tuition fees but simply a ‘bench-fee’ which is currently £1000 for a full calendar year, or pro rata for any shorter period. As well as having the opportunity to discuss their research informally with members of the Department, Fellows enjoy the following benefits:
