Postgraduate Student Wins Raymond Williams Society Essay Prize

Chris Witter, a research student with the Department of English and Creative Writing, has won the 2012 Raymond Williams Society Postgraduate Essay Competition. Chris's essay, entitled 'Grace Paley and the Tenement Pastoral' received high praise from all of the judges on the panel and has been put forward for publication in a future issue of 'Key Words' , the Cultural Materialism journal. Chris also received a year's membership to the Society and a cash prize.
