Introduction to Undergraduate English Literature and Creative Writing DegreesThe Department of English and Creative Writing at Lancaster University offers an attractive mix of traditional and 'state-of-the-art' courses in English Literature and in Creative Writing. Our staff include prizewinning authors and researchers. We are a research-active department, which keeps our teaching fresh. The last national Research Assessment Exercise deemed that 90% of our research is internationally recognised. The most recent Teaching Quality Assessment ranked the faculty as 'excellent' and our own students awarded us a 95% overall satisfaction rate in the last National Student Survey.
