Coursework Modules Phase 1

The first phase of the course corresponds to the Michaelmas Term at Lancaster University and lasts from October to December. The programme of study during this period consists of three modules of 20-25 contact hours, each with regular written assessments. The modules listed below will offer you a solid academic grounding in the key disciplines on which the concept of European Union is based.

  • LLM 201: European Union Law (20 credits)
  • PPR 417: Politics of the European Union (20 credits)
  • DELC 401: European Union (20 credits)

The coverage offered by the modules is enhanced by additional lectures and seminars in the Department of History and Department of European Languages and Cultures and by regular two-hour postgraduate symposia organised by the Department of Politics, Philosophy and Religion (PPR).
