Research Interests

Scholarly critical editions of Jean-Antoine de Baïf's Le Brave and L'Eunuque as part of a European collaborative research venture to edit the complete works of Baïf to be published by Champion, Paris.

Co-editing a project volume of essays, provisionally entitled Poetry, Print and the Page (a study of the relationship between the word, typography, lay out, graphology and non-verbal signs both within manuscripts and printed book traditions between 1400-1600.)

In addition I am preparing a paper on the rhetorical processes of Pierre de Ronsard for a Conference organised by the Renaissance Society of America in Toronto, March 2003.

Personal interests/hobbies

Interests and hobbies include the theatre, the cinema, art, gardening, interior decorating, collecting and renovating junk and bric-a-brac. Other interests are to keep as much of my hair as possible and to spend lengthy periods in the South of France.
