Languages and Culture Academic to Keynote the 4th Annual Conference of the Translation Studies Network of Ireland (TSNI 2024)

Dr Delphine Grass is the invited keynote speaker of the 4th Annual Conference of the Translation Studies Network of Ireland (TSNI 2024) which will be held at the University of Galway on April 25th and 26th. This year, the theme of the conference is “Translation and Creativity”.

Student study trip to China

From 24 March to 2 April, 14 students studying Chinese as part of their degree and 4 learners from the Chinese extra-curricular language classes at Lancaster University participated in the China study trip run by the School of International Education at South China University of Technology and organised by Lancaster University Confucius Institute.

Modern Language study at Lancaster University has been once again ranked within the top 100 in the World according to the QS World Rankings by Subject 2024.

Simone Schroth awarded major Dutch Translation Prize

Dr Simone Schroth has been awarded the Else Otten Translation Prize by the Nederlands Letterenfonds at this year's Leipzig Book Fair for her translation, with Christina Siever, of Etty Hillesum’s diaries and letters from Dutch into German.
