BA European Languages and Film Studies
European Languages and Film Studies is a four-year combined major degree scheme that allows you to study one or two more languages alongside courses on various aspects of cinema. The course provides an understanding of films as cultural texts, as systems of meaning in their own right, and of cinema as a distinctive medium of communication possessing its own histories, its own institutions, and practices of production and consumption. At the same time, the course explores the key critical, theoretical and methodological issues at stake in the study of these areas.
