French and Spanish 2011
I have really enjoyed the last three years studying French and Spanish at Lancaster. Although, it requires a lot of hard work, it is such a rewarding experience when you realise that you are having a conversation which someone else in another language, and I have been surprised at what I have managed to achieve, especially during my Year Abroad.
Learning about the history and culture of French and Spanish speaking countries has given me an insight into life in parts of the world I knew very little about before, and the enthusiasm of DELC staff for their subjects is infectious. I know that the skills and experiences that I have gained during the course will be useful to me whatever I choose to do in the future.
