Adam Hollowell

History with Italian 2010

Photo of Adam HollowellLancaster really is a great place to study. Friendly people, beautiful surroundings and a bustling historic town provide a great atmosphere to live and work in. The university itself, even with well over 10,000 students, still maintains a really close-knit and personal vibe. A large past of this is the college set-up which exists at Lancaster University which means you’re not just part of “the university” but of a smaller group of people who you get to know really quickly and share amazing times with.

The European languages department itself really maintains this strong friendly and personal atmosphere on a reduced scale. In contrast with other subjects, lectures and seminars are much smaller and you really get to build a relationship with the other students and tutors in your classes which can be lacking in a lecture hall filled with hundreds of students.
