Travel and Accommodation
We offer two types of accommodation:
Lancaster House Hotel - This 4*hotel is proximate to the university. Conference hotel participants will have free access to the leisure club with pool, sauna and gym throughout their stay.
Lancaster University Visitor Rooms - a lower price for our postgraduate participants, the modern, comfortable accommodation includes breakfast, a towel, tea and coffee pack, toiletry pack, and a car parking permit.
Rail - the train from London Euston to Lancaster is 2 hours 30minutes and from Manchester International Airport 1hour. Return journey tickets off-peak are usually the cheapest choice. You can also book your rail tickets through thetrainline.com
Train travel from Paris/Brussels is also possible by switching in London from St Pancras International to Euston (10 minute walk). There are hourly trains from Euston to Lancaster (the West Coast Mainline).
Air travel we suggest arrival into Manchester Airport as there are trains direct to Lancaster rail station from there. Although Liverpool John Lennon Airportoffers budget airline travel the rail links are less frequent and involve changes of bus and train.
Once in Lancaster you can take a taxi to your accommodation or there is a direct bus - X1 - from the rail station at regular intervals. The bus stop at the university is in the underpass and it is a 5-minute walk to Lancaster House hotel. Campus Map
Should you be driving to the conference here's how to get to Lancaster University. There is free car parking both at the university and hotel.
