Histfest 2006
Date: 13-14 May 2006
Histfest is an annual conference established and maintained by postgraduate History students at the University of Lancaster. On the 13th and 14th May 2006, we will be holding our eleventh conference.
Histfest is the ideal forum for presenting work in progress to a welcoming and constructive audience. Our aim is to bring together a wide range of postgraduate students working on any aspect of History. We are also particularly interested to hear from students studying in related disciplines.
We are currently accepting proposals of c.250 words. Although the conference does not have a specific theme, we would especially welcome proposals on the following areas:
- GENDER, CONFLICT AND COMMEMORATION
- BOUNDARIES, WAR AND RELIGION
- CLASS, NATION AND COMMUNITY
