David Clark, IHR,

End of life care in the global context: Biographical reflections on a public issue and aprivate trouble.

David is Director of the Institute for Health Research at Lancaster. He is also Professor of Medical Sociology and Director of the International Observatory on End of Life Care [www.eolc-observatory.net]He is currently engaged in a number of studies concerned with service evaluation relating to the provision of palliative care and with issues of policy development, the international growth of palliative care and related ethical issues. He has a particular interest in the historical development of the modern end of life care movement and is writng a book about the history of the Project on Death in America.
