Research Training Event for FASS Distance Learning Students - Cancelled

We regret that this event has been cancelled because the number of registrations failed to reach theminimum required. We apologise for any inconvenience caused.

The Faculty of Arts & Social Sciences is holding an event for all postgraduate research students in the Faculty who are currently pursuing their studies at a distance from the University. Please note this event is intended for distance learners only.

The event has been organised to provide some research training opportunities for students who might not otherwise be able to participate in the full Research Training Programme that is available to students in the Faculty - full details of this areavailable online at http://www.lancs.ac.uk/fass/fasspostgrads/training/index.htm.

It is hoped that this programme of 'mini-sessions' will providestudents with some useful input to assist with their post-graduate studies. It will also be an opportunity to network with other PGRs in a similar position, and to share research experiences with tutors and fellow students. In addition it will provide us with an opportunity to gain a better understanding of how we can cater for the research training needs of our distance-learner PGRs.

• Library Resources for Distance Learners
• Preparing for the Viva
• Writing for Publication
• Writing for Research Degrees as a Distance Learner
• Ethics in Social Research
• Writing an Effective Academic CV
