The Dancers' World of Work: Entrepreneurship and Professional Practice in Dance HEDate: 16 November 2006 Time: 0.00 pm A One Day Symposium for practitioners, HE lecturers, researchers, and support agencies at The Conference Centre, Lancaster University. Keynote Speaker: Jeanette Siddall, Director of Dance, Arts Council England PALATINE has been working on a research project funded by the National Council for Graduate Entrepreneurship (NCGE) seeking to map enterprise and entrepreneurship within HE Dance programmes. The project is a multi dimensional mapping exercise that is seeking to investigate approaches to enterprise and professional practice in dance. From an identification of the scale of provision, we then investigated a sample and have identified models of good practice and examples of partnership between the dance sector and HE. As part of National Enterprise Week, this symposium will present the findings of the research project in the context of a series of case studies, presentations, examples of practice and student work. Expressions of interest in presenting a case study or examples of student work are sought from colleagues.
