The Launch of the Human Rights Forum and International Human Rights Obligations Network

Dr Sigrun Skogly is happy to announce the formal launch of the Human Rights Forum & the International Human Rights Obligations Network (IntHRON). The key note speaker will be the UN Special Rapporteur on Counterrorism and Human Rights, Professor Martin Scheinin (Director of the Finnish Institite of Human Rights at Abo Akademi). The launch will take place in IAS buildingMR 2 and 3.

Professor Martin Scheinin, the UN Special Rapporteur on the promotion and protection of human rights whilst countering terrorism, will be giving the keynote speech at the launch of the International Human Rights Obligations Network at Lancaster University on 18th January. This event will run from 2-6pm in the IAS building, and will also included a roundtable discussion with participants from academia, the department for Constitutional Affairs and NGOs.
