Life Insurance in the Molecular Age: Markets and GovernanceDate: 8 December 2006 Time: 9.00-5.00pm 'Life Insurance in the Molecular Age: Markets and Governance' Venue: Institute for Advanced StudiesThis is the first of a series of three research workshops hosted by the Department of Politics and International Relations under the Wellcome Trust-funded project 'Underwriting Health and Insurance: Insurance as Health-enabler in the Molecular Age'. The workshop will gather members of the insurance industry, the Genetics and Insurance Committee, and user groups, as well as academics from Lancaster University and the wider British academic community. Under the scientific coordination of Professor Michael Dillon, the workshop is intended as a space to further the debate over the impact that the advent of genetic information is having over life insurance as a health-enabling technology. Please register your attendance with Luis Lobo-Guerrero, research assistant to the project: l.lobo-guerrero@lancaster.ac.uk. Refreshments will be offered.
