China Centre - Patterns and implications of ERP adoption in ChinaDate: 17 November 2006 Time: 4.00 pm Against a background of rapid change in China, Professor David Brown, Director of the Lancaster China Management Centre (LCMC) and Professor of Strategy and Information Systems at LUMS, looks at recent experiences of adopting and implementing ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning). Of particular interest is the growing presence of domestic suppliers. This early and ongoing research reports on the implementation experiences of firms using domestic systems, as well as those using established international systems such as SAP. The research uses a combination of twenty mini-cases and a single in-depth case study and interprets these through a critical success factor perspective. The work complements a current LCMC EU grant on generating e-business cases in China. Event website: http://www.lums.lancs.ac.uk/events/8452/ Contact: Who can attend:
