Centre for Science Studies:The Social & Material Practices of Agriculture, Farming & Food ProductionDate: 5 June 2007 Centre for Science Studies Workshop: The Social and Material Practices of Agriculture, Farming and Food Production > We are pleased to announce a workshop on Agriculture, Farming and Food production to be held on 5th-6th June, 2007. The Topic The workshop will ·explore the social and material practices of farming, agricultural production and food ·present recent empirical and theoretical studies on farming and food production; and ·reflect on what an STS-influenced study of this politically and economically charged area might look like; The number of presentations and delegates will be limited in order to encourage discussion and debate. There will be a poster session for delegates who would like to present their work. Plenary Speakers Plenary speakers will include: John Law (Lancaster); Marianne Lien (Oslo), Sarah Whatmore (Oxford). Practicalities Date: 5th-6th June, 2007; Location: Lancaster University Conference Centre.
