STATE, VIOLENCE AND SUBJECTIVITIES

ONE-DAY WORKSHOP

The aim of this workshop is to consolidate Lancaster research on Violence, State, Memory and Trauma AND in conversation with Prof. Veena Das's work, say her recent book 'Life and Words: Violence and the Descent into the Ordinary' (2007, California University Press, Forward by Stanley Cavell)..

Speakers Include: Michael Dillon, Anne-Marie Fortier, David Hansen-Miller, Patrick Hagopian, Nayanika Mookherjee, Lindsey Moore, Rhona O'Brien, Swati Parashar, Derek Sayer, Jackie Stacey, Christine Sylvester, Imogen Tyler, Yoke-Sum Wong.
