The Greater Middle East and Islamic Studies Network (GMEIS) is hosting a lecture by Professor Eamon Murphy on 'Debunking the 'clash of civilizations' thesis: the military and the making of religious terrorism in Pakistan' Details: Thursday 29th May 3pm. Bowland North SR 20 Eamon Murphy is Professor in History and International Relations at Curtin University in Western Australia. He has recently written three articles on state terrorism in India and Pakistan and is currently writing a monograph 'Pakistan Jihad: the Making of State Terrorism in Pakistan'. He is also editing 'State Terrorism: a Critical Terrorism Studies Perspective'. Eamon recently returned from a field trip to Pakistan. ALL WELCOME Contact: Who can attend: Anyone
