Teaching Sociology TodayDate: 10 October 2008 Time: 10.30am - 4pm A one day workshop in the Department of Sociology Led by Dr Imogen Tyler (Admissions Tutor and Lecturer in Sociology) and Dr Claire Waterton (Senior Lecturer in Sociology) The Sociology department is holding a one day workshop for Sociology school teachers in the North and North West. This day follows on from our first 'teacher's day' held in October 2007. At this years workshop teachers will have a masterclass in postmodernism, discuss problems and challenges arising from delivering the A Level curriculum and hear presentations from staff and students about the changing Sociology degree at Lancaster. This event aims to consolidate the links between the Department and schools in the North and North West of England.
