History Departmental Seminar

Sally Sheard from University of Liverpool, will give a talk entitled 'The well-connected academic: Brian Abel-Smith and the development of health and welfare policy, 1953-1996'.

The event will be held in Furness B62

Sally holds a joint position in the School of History and the Division of Public Health at Liverpool, and has published extensively on the development of public health and the role of medical authority in 19th-20th century Britain. She is currently writing a biography of Brian Abel-Smith.
