Teaching Applied Drama: Politics, Perspectives and PracticeDate: 27 January 2009 Time: 10.00-04.00 pm This PALATINE workshop will discuss the challenges and potential of teaching Applied Drama in a Higher Education context. The event will explore, in particular: 1) Teaching Applied Drama This could include questions around the theoretical vs. experiential emphasis within the 'classroom'. 2) The Politics of Applied Drama
3) Perspectives within Applied Drama
The event also aims to raise awareness of women's contribution to the development of Applied Drama, exploring options for supporting and promoting the voice of vulnerable and disenfranchised communities of women, and investigating whether teaching with gender awareness can address women's particular problems, challenges or needs.
