Vices and DisordersDate: 13 March 2009 Time: 10.00am Vices and Disorders Lancaster University - Friday 13th March Funded by the Royal Institute of Philosophy This workshop is free and open to all although places are limited. Please email Rachel Cooper to reserve a place. Speakers: Havi Carel (UWE) The Phenomenology of Alcohol Misuse. Chris Megone (University of Leeds) Vices and Disorders - a neo-Aristotelian view. Christian Perring (Dowling College, USA) The Moral Responsibility of People with Mental Illnesses for their actions. Rachel Cooper (Lancaster University) The Boundary between Vices and Disorders. There is room in the schedule for another couple of short papers, although speakers would need to cover their own costs. If you'd like to give a 20 minute paper on the theme of the workshop please email an abstract to r.v.cooper@lancaster.ac.uk by 23rd January.
