Close Guantanamo Bay and End Illegal Detention

Date: 10 March 2009 Time: 12.30-2.00pm

South Lakeland and Lancaster City United Nations Association and the Human Rights Forum present a meeting on "Close Guantanamo Bay and End Illegal Detention". The meeting will challenge US President Barak Obama to close Guantanamo Bay, end extra-ordinary rendition and secret detention, end military commission trials and end the use of torture. The meeting will explore the iwder international law and human rights implications of these issues.
