Tasks in Textbooks: Barking up the Wrong Tree?Date: 14 September 2009 Time: 16.30-17.00 pm Venue: TBLT Conference, Lancaster University, 13 - 16 September, 2009 An analysis of the nature and use of tasks in language teaching textbooks shows several points of divergence from the model favoured in applied linguistics. Appreciating why this is so is seen as important for more productive "R & D" concerning task use in the typical language teaching situation. Presentation files: Please e-mail me if you'd like a copy of the paper. Event website: http://www.lancs.ac.uk/fass/events/tblt2009/ Contact: Who can attend: Anyone
