Dr Naomi Tadmor of Sussex University to give talk in History DepartmentDate: 3 March 2010 Time: 5.00 pm Venue: B62, Furness Dr Naomi Tadmor of Sussex University will be giving a talk on Wednesday March 3 at 5.00 pm in the History Department (Furness College, B62) on the topic "Slaves and Servants: a Bible for Freeborn Englishmen". Trained at the Hebrew University of Jerusalem and Cambridge University, Dr Tadmor is an early modern historian whose monograph Family and Friends in Eighteenth-Century England: Household, Kinship and Patronage (Cambridge University Press, 2001) has been widely acclaimed. Her new monograph The Social Universe of the English Bible: Scripture, Society and Culture in Early Modern England will be published by Cambridge University Press in June.
