History Postgraduate Workshop: Contesting the Idea of HistoryDate: 16 June 2010 Time: 9.30am - 4.30pm Venue: B62, Furness The aim of the workshop is to provide a stimulus for postgraduates - within any department - who are interested in engaging with the idea of history. Thus, it might have been aptly subtitled, 'What are we all doing?' The workshop will feature seven disparate (in research and method) members of the History Department answering - and hopefully creating - questions in relation to three broad topics: 'Narrative and Texts', 'Sites of Knowledge', and 'Pluralities: Otherness and Identity' It is open to all, lunch provided, with voluntary meal afterward. The programme can be viewed here. Please contact Ghislaine O'Neill to register by Friday 4th June 2010: g.oneill@lancaster.ac.uk Contact: Who can attend: Anyone
