CSS/CSEC Mixtures: Roundtable on activism in and around science and technologyDate: 16 February 2011 Time: 16 Feb, 12-1pm Venue: FASS MR3 CSS/CSEC STS Mixtures Seminar Roundtable on activism in and around science and technology Centre for Science Studies/ Centre for Study of Environmental Change 12-1pm, 16 Feb 2011, FASS Building, Meeting Room 3 (MR3) Lucy Suchman, Claire Waterton, Celia Roberts and Maggie Mort in conversation on activism around robotics, nuclear power, patient groups and farming. This informal session is an opportunity to discuss the role, importance, practices and potentials of activism in STS-style work. We will discuss different forms of activism as a practice, and as topic of research, in relation to science and technology.
