Lucy Suchman, Claire Waterton, Celia Roberts and Maggie Mort in conversation on activism around robotics, nuclear power, patient groups and farming.

This informal session is an opportunity to discuss the role, importance, practices and potentials of activism in STS-style work. We will discuss different forms of activism as a practice, and as topic of research, in relation to science and technology. We will also discuss the possibility of a larger academic event on activism in STS.
