Leo van Lier Research WorkshopDate: 29 June 2011 Time: 10.00 am -12.00 pm Venue: Bowland North SR 6 Workshop title: The study of classroom interaction as a key to pedagogical understandings. Leo is Professor at the Monterey Institute for International Studies, Editor of Modern Language Journal, and a distinguished alumnus of the Department of Linguistics and English Language. He is well known for his pioneering work in the use of socio-cultural theory and conversation analysis for the study and development of language teaching.
