CeDR Booking Reading Group: Joanne Limburg 'The Woman Who Thought Too Much: A Memoir'Date: 9 November 2011 Time: 13.00-14.30 pm Venue: Bowland North C127 The CeDR Book Reading group is an opportunity to explore ideas and our thinking about Disability Studies by focusing on a single longer text. The discussion is informal. Tea and coffee will be provided, please bring your lunch with you. CeDR PGR students Heather Mack and Laura Snell have suggested Joanne Limburg 'The Woman Who Thought Too Much: A Memoir" which was short-listed for the MIND book of the year award. "Joanne Limburg thinks things she doesn't want to think, and does things she doesn't want to do. As a young woman, obsessive thoughts and compulsive behaviours had come to completely dominate her life. She knew that something was wrong, but it would take many painful years of searching to find someone who could explain her symptoms. The Woman Who Thought Too Much is a vividly honest, beautifully told and darkly witty memoir about the quest to understand and manage a life with Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder." There is a review by Hilary Mantel is the Guardian Contact: Who can attend: Anyone
