Ruskin's Flora: John Ruskin and the Art of Botanical Painting

A study day to accompany the Ruskin Library exhibition, Ruskin's Flora: John Ruskin's Botanical Drawings

Saturday 12 November 2011

This study day supplements the exhibition Ruskin's Flora, in which drawings and watercolours of plants, flowers and trees from the Whitehouse Collection of the Ruskin Library at Lancaster University will be displayed. Speakers will include Ruskin Scholars, Botanists, Artists and Horticulturists. Also included is a Walking Tour of the exhibition, led by David Ingram, the Botanist who co-curated it.

The study day will take place in the Lancaster Environment Centre (LEC), Lancaster University

Fee for this event: £15/£10 for students (fee includes coffee/tea & biscuits and a sandwich lunch)

Parking: On Saturdays free parking is available on campus.

Booking deadline is Thursday 10th November. Please book early to avoid disappointment. Please note: We cannot enrol people on the day unless this has been arranged in advance.
