The Tom Milne Popular Fiction Archive: A PreviewDate: 14 January 2011 Time: 9.00am-5.00pm Venue: Lancaster University Library
From 14th January2011 to11th February 2011, the Library will showcase the recently acquired Tom Milne Archive of Popular Fiction. The exhibition will contain dozens of paperback novels and pulp magazines, and is particularly strong on hard-boiled fiction of the 1940s and 1950s and on the writers whose work formed the core of canonical film noir. The archive was donated to Lancaster by Nigel Algar, Senior Curator of the British Film Institute, and the cataloguing of the collection has been financed by a generous donation from the Lancaster Friends Fund.
