Politically Proper? Connections Between Medicine, Bioethics and the Criminal LawDate: 9 November 2011 Time: 2.00 pm Venue: Bowland North SR25 Professor Margot Brazier (Univeristy of Manchester) and Dr Suzanne Ost (Lancaster University) will present the seminar. Professor Brazier's research interests include: The criminal process and health care, the use of human tissue, patients' responsibilities, the history of medical law, the ethics of prolonging life in severely disabled fetuses and newborn infants. Dr Ost's research interests include: Law and medical ethics (particularly euthanasia), related aspects of criminal law, law and literature and the 'euthanasia' and medical experimentation programmes that were implemented in Nazi Germany.
