English and Creative Writing: Departmental Research SeminarsDate: 1 February 2012 Time: 5.00 pm Venue: County Main Seminar Room 1 Lusting after Novelty:Fictions of Upheaval in Egypt, 1970-2011 Ziad Elmarsafy (University of York) Ziad Elmarsafy is a Reader in the Department of English at the University of York. He is the author of The Histrionic Sensibility: Theatricality and Identity from Corneille to Rousseau; Freedom, Slavery, and Absolutism: Corneille, Pascal, Racine and The Enlightenment Qur'an: The Politics of Translation and the Construction of Islam.
