Afternoon Lecture with Simon Critchley

The Department of English and Creative Writing is delighted to welcome Professor Simon Critchley to Lancaster for a series of talks and events inspired by his new book, Stay, Illusion: The Hamlet Doctrine. Critchley, who is Hans Jonas Professor at the New School, New York, has published widely on literature, philosophy and religion. His books include The Book of Dead Philosophers (2009) and How to Stop Living and Start Worrying (2010).

The first of these events, an afternoon lecture, entitled 'The Hamlet Doctrine I: Hamlet's Nihilism' will take place from 2pm on Tuesday 28th May in the Marcus Merriman Lecture Theatre.

This event is free and open to all.
