Gill's Role
Gill supports Faculty colleagues in identifying, preparing and submitting research grant applications to external funding bodies. She assists colleagues in the costing process, ethical procedures and advises on funder's guidelines. She updates the Faculty's funding opportunities intranet site with UK and international funding opportunities. She is also responsible for the archive of successful funding applications, which are loaned out to colleagues for reference.
Gill also coordinates the Faculty's 'Writing External Funding Applications' course, which starts each Michaelmas terms and runs over 6 months and coordinates information events throughout the year. Gill services the Faculty's Ethics in Research Committee and is the editor of the research e-bulletin, backcopies of which can be found on the Faculty's intranet site.
Gill also services the Faculty's Business Engagement Board and coordinates the annual HEBCI return for the faculty. She is also supporting the Faculty in the forthcoming REF exercise.
