Research Interests

I received my DPhil in Political Theory from the University of Oxford in 2008. My thesis focused on luck egalitarian approaches to social justice and their implications for social policy. After finishing my DPhil, I took up a post-doctoral fellowship at the Harvard University Program in Ethics & Health to work on issues in public health ethics, such as tobacco control and the use of incentives in health care. At Lancaster, my research focuses on ethical issues surrounding policy strategies to combat childhood obesity, as part of the IDEFICS project.

I have also held teaching positions at Oxford, the University of Reading and the European College of Liberal Arts (ECLA) in Berlin.
