History Departmental Officer wins University Staff PrizeDate: 4 June 2010 Professor Derek Sayer, Head of Department for History, is delighted to announce that Departmental Officer, Amanda Harrison, has been awarded one of the eight University Staff Prizes given for 2010. According to the HR webpage "The Prizes aim to recognise research, teaching, student experience/colleges, income generation and internationalisation. There are 10 Staff Prizes of £1000 each, open to any member of University staff, regardless of grade. Nominations will be reviewed by a central panel, who will judge each case on its own merit". The overall rubric of the Prize is "going the extra mile" (http://www.lancs.ac.uk/hr/total-reward/recognition.html).
