Fees only scholarship for MA study in Philosophy

The Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences at Lancaster offers one fees-only scholarship to outstanding applicants (full-time or part-time) for MA study in Philosophy. The value of the award is equivalent to the UK/EU fees. It will be paid in the form of a fee-waiver for one year for full-time programmes, and will be calculated on a pro-rata basis for part-time programmes. Applications should be made via the department and decisions about the allocation of awards will be taken at departmental level. All applicants must already hold an offer of a place to study in any department in the Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences and be due to commence their studies during the 2010-11 academic year.
Applicants who wish to be considered for the award should email an outline of their intended research to Rachel Cooper (r.v.cooper@lancaster.ac.uk). They should say what modules they intend to study (or which essays they intend to write) and briefly describe their intended dissertation topic. Students who have submitted applications for the AHRC award will automatically be considered for the faculty award and need not submit new supporting documents.
The closing date for applications is 30th June 2010.
