Tom Webb, a research student in the Law School, has SLSA stream approved

Earlier this month Tom Webb, a research student in the Law School, had a stream approved for the SLSA's Annual Conference 2011 to be held at the University of Sussex on 12th - 14th April 2011. The stream, entitled Systems, Complexity and Autopoiesis: Critical Perspectives and Applications, is connected to, but moves beyond Tom's thesis research.
The stream is intended to draw lawyers, as well as social and natural scientists, with an interest in systems theories. It is hoped that through such a gathering a more permanent network can be established that will generate research in the future. As such,this stream represents the start of an ongoing research process.
The call for papers went out earlier this month and can be found on the conference website and further information about the SLSA is available on their website. Updates on progress to follow.
