Works of John Ruskin- Library Edition now on line!Date: 9 February 2011
The first volumes of the PDF edition are now available. The Library Edition of the Works of John Ruskin, edited by Cook and Wedderburn, has been available on CD-ROM for many years: changing technology has led to it becoming unusable for some readers - particularly those using Windows 7 and Mac systems. This pdf version, created by John Krug (Library Systems Co-ordinator, Lancaster University) and Jen Shepherd (Ruskin Library and Research Centre), makes it available to all once again - the only software needed is Adobe Reader 8 or later, available free from Adobe's website. The work is by no means complete: at present only volumes1-11 are available, which includes The Poetry of Architecture (Volume 1), Poems (Volume 2), Modern Painters (Volumes 3-7), The Seven Lamps of Architecture (Volume 8) and The Stones of Venice (Volumes 9-11). Links to the volumes can be found further down the page. News website: http://www.lancs.ac.uk/users/ruskinlib/Pages/Works.html
