Lancaster students participate in Sauerkraut Cup

On 2 April a football team comprising seven students of German represented Lancaster's Department of European Languages & Cultures at the Sauerkraut Cup in Birmingham, where they played against football teams from other German departments from all over the country. Congratulations to the team, led by team captain Phil Flenley, who - in spite of injuries and although they did not bring the cup home - did really well with two matches won, one drawn and only one lost.
