Paul Farley and the River Dee

Date: 8 January 2012

Professor Paul Farley was the presenter of BBC Radio 3's Sunday Feature broadcast on New Year's Day. The programme, 'Dee', followed Paul as he travelled the path of the River Dee from its source in the Welsh mountains, along the border with England and finally out to sea, meeting with farmers, historians, lifeguards, novelists, singers and mystics along the way.

Paul also featured in the Guardian's Country Diary column on 7 January, written by Jim Perrin, who appeared in the programme. 'Dee' also featured in Pick of the Week on BBC Radio 4 on 8 January, and was previewed in the Times, Daily Telegraph, Daily Mail and other national newspapers.
