Knowledge Exchange Awards for Department of English and Creative WritingDate: 28 February 2012
Following the Faculty's recent call for 'Knowledge Exchange' projects, the Department has won three awards: Simon Bainbridge has won funding to develop his 'Wordsworth Walks' with local businesses and organisations over the next 18 months. Paul Farley had won funding to develop 'The Poetry Archive Live', a series of events at Lancaster that will bring together writers featured in the prestigious Poetry Archive http://www.poetryarchive.org/poetryarchive/home.do along with students, researchers, academics and local schoolteachers. John Schad has won funding to set up an open writing day on the council estate which provides the setting for his forthcoming documentary-novel, The Late Walter Benjamin; the writing day will culminate in an literary event called 'A Literary Estate' to take place at the Watford Palace Theatre on June 2nd.
