New Royal Literary Fund Fellow

The Department of English and Creative Writing is pleased to welcome our new Royal Literary Fund Fellow, Livi Michael.

Livi was born near Manchester and has written four novels: Under a Thin Moon (1992), Their Angel Reach (1994), All the Dark Air (1997) and Inheritance (2000), which have won the Faber Prize and Arthur Welton Award. They have been nominated for various others, including the Mind, John Steinbeck and John Llewellyn Rhys Awards. She has also written several books for children, including the four Frank books, about an adventurous hamster and his relationship with his human.

Livi will be joining the Department from October 2012 and will be working with students from across the University to help them develop their writing skills.
