Graduate School for Social Research inaugural lecture

On Thursday October 25th The Graduate School for Social Research at the Institute of Philosophy and Sociology of the Polish Academy of Sciences (IFiS PAN) will be welcoming JOHN URRY, Distinguished Professor at the Department of Sociology, Lancaster University, who will be giving the inaugural lecture of 2012-13 at the School. Professor Urry's lecture on 'Sociology and Alternative Futures'will mark the twentieth anniversary of the Graduate School. Professor Urry's long standing connection both with IFiS PAN, and with the School's teaching programme leading to award of Lancaster's MA degree, make him a particularly suitable speaker and guest.
