Professor Martin Bygate Elected President of AILA

At the recent triennial conference of AILA (Association Internationale de Linguistique Appliee) in Essen, Professor Martin Bygate (Linguistics and Enlgish Language)was elected President of the Association for a 3-year term. This is the first time an applied linguistic holding an appointment inthe UK has been electedd to this position.
