Funding opportunities for PhD study

EAP/Study Skills Doctoral Studies Bursary Award (2009)

The Department of Linguistics and English Language invites applications for a doctoral studies bursary consisting of PhD fees at UK/EU rates and a maintenance stipend of £10,609 per year for three years (renewable for a fourth year). The successful candidate will conduct his/her PhD research in the Department, and he/she will take on a coordinating and teaching role in the pre-sessional EAP/Study Skills courses run by the Department in June-September each year (see note 1). The bursary is only available for the Thesis Only PhD Programme.

The deadline for submission of applications is January 9th, 2009.

Please note that this award is ONLY available to candidates who qualify for UK/EU fee rates.
