Nayanika Mookherjee (Sociology) organised an Open Forum on the 'Ethics of Apology' in ASA 08, NZDate: 9 December 2008 As part of the Executive Committee and Ethics Officer of the ASA (Association of Social Anthropologists of the UK and the Commonwealth), I organised and chaired an open forum on the Ethics of Apology at the ASA conference in Auckland, New Zealand, on 9th Dcember 2008. Discussion was led by a group of invited panellists: Prof. Gillan Cowlishaw (University of Technology, Sydney), Prof. Ghassan Hage (Melbourne University), Dr. Lisette Josephides (Queens University Belfast), Prof. Nigel Rapport (St. Andrew's University) before opening it up for discussions, questions and comments.
